Nice inaugurates a forefront plant for electronics in Santa Rita do Sapucaí, Brazil

On February 21st and 22nd we inaugurated Nice’s new plant in Santa Rita do Sapucaí (located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais), at the presence of authorities, journalists and customers.

This is part of a broader investment plan in Brazil,  which in the next two years will rely also on the renewal of São Caetano do Sul site and on a further prestigious opening in Limeira. An extensive innovation path starting from the modern plant in the ‘Electronic Valley’ and leading to further state-of-the-art projects in an Industry 4.0 perspective, which will contribute to the local growth.

The plant in Santa Rita counts 6,200 square meters and was developed thanks to an investment of around 20 million BRL: it will be the heart of the production of electronic components for Nice portfolio of gate automation, electronic security and access control solutions in Brazil.

The plant includes also an area open to customers, with auditorium, training center and showroom; a place designed to welcome partners, companies and clients to experience Nice innovative solutions and get an immersion in Nice Home Automation world.

That’s why we invest in the Country – today with our plant in Santa Rita and tomorrow with the new facilities in São Caetano do Sul and Limeira – and we aim at delivering innovation technologies and positive impact from an environmental and social point of view. Our purpose is giving back value to a Country which offers great opportunities”.

According to the General Manager of Nice in Brazil, Leonardo Sanchez, the new plant in Santa Rita do Sapucaí follows an international standard and will primarily serve the Brazilian market. The unit is based on three pillars: robust processes, cutting-edge technology and people - the latter considered the most important by the company. He says: "Our plant in Minas Gerais represents an important landmark for Nice within the group's global strategy, which leverage Brazil as a relevant center of technological competence for production, research and development of products of excellence in electronics. The inauguration is only the initial stage of a major project, which will include new investments, in the search of a continuous improvement of processes and increasing levels of quality and productivity".
