Nice reaches its 2030 climate target ahead of schedule. The 2025 Sustainability Report is now available.
11 May 2026
Nice publishes its 2025 Sustainability Report, confirming its emissions reduction target reached five years ahead of schedule.
In a global context defined by tightening environmental regulation and accelerating demand for responsible technology, Nice has released its annual Sustainability Report: a comprehensive account of the company's ESG performance across four strategic dimensions: Environment, Governance, Social, and Product.
The smart home and home automation industry is navigating a period of profound transformation. The European Union's Green Deal, the EU Data Act, and evolving energy labelling directives are reshaping how technology companies design, manufacture, and bring products to market. Against this backdrop, sustainability has moved from a corporate communications exercise to a core business imperative, and companies that have invested early are beginning to see measurable returns.
The Nice group’s report accounts for all its 29 subsidiaries and is among those companies that can point to concrete results. Nice 2025 Sustainability Report documents a year of significant progress across all four pillars of the company's ESG framework, and sets the stage for the commitments that will guide it through 2027 and 2030.
Environment
A 2030 climate target, achieved in 2025.
The most significant finding of this year's report concerns Nice's carbon emissions trajectory. The company had committed to a 25% absolute reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 CO₂ emissions by 2030, benchmarked against a 2024 baseline of 440,669 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent, in line with the Well Below 2°C climate scenario. In 2025, Nice recorded a 33% reduction, surpassing its own target five years ahead of the deadline.
The result is not incidental. It is the direct consequence of Nice's €24 million investment in R&D that saw a strong focus on energy efficiency, which drove a substantial reduction in emissions linked to the use of sold products: the largest component of the company's Scope 3 footprint. Nice committed in developing low-energy solutions specifically designed to meet current and forthcoming EU energy regulations. Additional progress was recorded in waste recovery rates and the use of certified green energy across operations.
Product & Innovation
Innovation measured in certifications, not just launches.
In 2025, Nice brought more than 100 new products to market: a pace that reflects both the breadth of its portfolio and the depth of its engineering capabilities. The full product, application, and cloud infrastructure were aligned with the EU Data Act, and a new simplified chip strategy was introduced to improve supply chain resilience and reduce component complexity.
Beyond volume, Nice continued to invest in the environmental credibility of its products. The company now holds Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for 17 certified product families: a category it helped define when it established the first Product Category Rules for gear motors in 2019. This year, those PCRs were updated, reaffirming Nice's position as the international reference standard in the sector. The company also recorded more than 23 new intellectual property rights granted and conducted over 20 third-party audits to maintain product and process certifications.
Governance & Social
A company built on accountability.
Nice strengthened its internal governance structures in 2025, updating its organisational framework and reinforcing ESG leadership at the group level. The company recorded zero cases of corruption and zero instances of non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations: a result that reflects the robustness of the controls embedded across its global operations.
On the social dimension, Nice continued to invest in long-term partnerships with NGOs and local associations, reaffirming its commitment to the communities in which it operates. The achievements of 2025 — from 10 industry awards spanning design, R&D, and marketing, to the completion of in-house patent filing capabilities through registration in the Italian Register of Industrial Property Consultants — are a reflection of the people across every function who made them possible. Nice was also confirmed among the Top 500 and Top 1000 companies in North-East Italy, a recognition of the financial and organizational performance delivered by its sales and finance teams. A new Sustainable Procurement Policy, introducing ESG-based criteria into supplier evaluation, was launched across all Nice branches extending the company's values into its supply chain.
Looking Ahead
Sustainability at Nice is not a destination. It is a discipline we apply every day, in every decision, across every team. This report is evidence of that commitment, and a measure of how far we intend to go.
" Looking ahead, our priorities remain clear: execution, quality, and proximity to all our stakeholders. By staying disciplined and aligned with our values, Nice will continue to deliver consistent results and long-term value, while contributing to a more sustainable future." — Juan Mogollon, Group CEO, Nice
