Nice is sponsoring the Italian Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of “La Biennale di Venezia”

Nice is sponsoring the Italian Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of “La Biennale di Venezia”, scheduled from 26 May to 25 November 2018, confirming its role as a standard bearer of “Made in Italy” on an international scale, promoting a new idea of home living inspired by simplicity, innovation and connectivity.

The Italian Pavilion, curated by Mario Cucinella Architects, entitled “Arcipelago Italia. Projects for the future of the Country’s interior territories”, wants to bring focus to a lesser-known Italy and reveal the wealth and potential of an area of Italy corresponding to 60% of the national territory and about 4,000 municipalities, home to 25% of the population. The 2018 Italy Pavilion wants to be “an opportunity for the country, a reflection of international scope useful to the communities of these places”; a journey into the future, investigating the current situation and proposing a reflection on contemporary issues such as the urban periphery, the earthquake aftermath, brownfields, railways and mobility. The aim is to underline the existing dialogue, the possible links and continuities among these examples and the excellence that the country has expressed during its history.

This is a concept that Nice has chosen to support with enthusiasm, and which is embodied by a company that through its 25 years of activity has become the Italian brand of international reference in Home & Building Automation, present throughout the country via its installers and distributors, real people who with their passion and daily commitment represent the Nice spirit: open, simple, inimitable.

“For us the collaboration with La Biennale di Venezia,” states Lauro Buoro, founder and Chairman of Nice S.p.A.“is a real and meaningful one, with the most panoramic representation of the international architectural scene. Above all, it is a further confirmation of how design, culture, the search for beauty and experimentation are integral to our corporate culture. The theme of the Italian Pavilion reflects the values that have always accompanied Nice’s growth: a strong bond with our territory of origin, openness to international markets and to the innovative challenges we face with the awareness of our identity, of our knowledge and of our skills and social responsibility.”
