Nice Era P - Era W: setting the group control function

This video helps you to associating Nice Era P (P6, P6S), Era P Vario (P6V) and Era W (W6, W6S) transmitters with individual and group controls to Nice tubular motors for awnings and rolling shutters.

This procedure is valid for Era Mat A (E MAT SA, E MAT MA, E MAT LA), Era Fit (E FIT S, E FIT M, E FIT L), Era Fit HT (E FIT MHT, E FIT LHT), Era Plus H (E PLUS MH, E PLUS LH) and Era Plus (E PLUS M, E PLUS L) motors.

Nice Era P-Era W: how to memorise an additional transmitter

This video helps to associating an additional transmitter with Nice tubular motors for blinds, awnings and rolling shutters.

This procedure is valid for Era P (P1, P1S, P6, P6S), Era P Vario (P1V, P6SV) and Era W (W1, W1S, W6, W6S) series transmitters and for Era Mat A (E MAT SA, E MAT MA, E MAT LA), Era Fit (E FIT S, E FIT M, E FIT L), Era Fit HT (E FIT MHT, E FIT LHT), Era Plus H (E PLUS MH, E PLUS LH) and Era Plus (E PLUS M, E PLUS L) motors.

Nice Era P-Era W: how to memorise an additional transmitter with general control

This video helps to associating an additional transmitter with general control with Nice tubular motors for blinds, awnings and rolling shutters.

This procedure is valid for Era P (P1, P1S, P6, P6S), Era P Vario (P1V, P6SV) and Era W (W1, W1S, W6, W6S) series transmitters and for Era Mat A (E MAT SA, E MAT MA, E MAT LA), Era Fit (E FIT S, E FIT M, E FIT L), Era Fit HT (E FIT MHT, E FIT LHT), Era Plus H (E PLUS MH, E PLUS LH) and Era Plus (E PLUS M, E PLUS L) motors.

FAQ

1) What automations can I manage with Nice transmitters in the Era P and Era W families?

Nice transmitters in the Era P and Era W families are designed to control automations for awnings, interior blinds and rolling shutters.  In particular, these families of transmitters can manage Nice Era Mat A, Era Mat T, Era Inn, Era Fit, Era Fit HT, Era Plus and Era Plus H motors.

2) How can I associate the first Era P or Era W transmitter to a Nice tubular motor?

To associate an Era P or Era W transmitter to a Nice tubular motor for awnings and rolling shutters, follow the procedure shown in the video, or proceed as follows, respecting the sequence:

  1. On the transmitter, select the channel you want to associate with the motor. If it is a single channel transmitter, go to the next step.
  2. Press and hold the STOP key and wait for the motor to perform 3 movements, then release.

The transmitter has been correctly associated.

3) How can I set the group control function in a Nice Era P or Era W transmitter?

To set the group control function in a Nice Era P or Era W transmitter, follow the procedure shown in the video, or proceed as follows, respecting the sequence:

  1. To set the group control function, select the channel with which you want to associate a number of motors in the same system.
  2. Press and hold the STOP key for at least 8 seconds, then release.
  3. Select the transmitter channel associated with the first motor.  Press the STOP key for 1 second and release for 1 second, repeat three times.
  4. Select the channel with the group control function.  Press and hold the STOP key and release it to coincide exactly with the first movement of the motor.  The motor will perform a total of three movements.

The first motor has been correctly associated with the channel with the group control function.

Repeat the above procedure for each motor you want to manage using the group control function.

4) How can I memorise a new Era P or Era W transmitter using a transmitter memorised previously?

To associate a new Era P or Era W transmitter to a Nice tubular motor for awnings and rolling shutters using a transmitter memorised previously, proceed as follows, respecting the sequence:

  1. Make sure the motor is powered, the first transmitter memorised is present and the limit switches have been programmed correctly.
  2. If the new transmitter is multichannel, select the channel you want to associate with the motor.
  3. If the transmitter previously memorised is multichannel, select the channel associated with the same motor.
  4. On the new transmitter, press and hold the STOP key for at least 8 seconds, then release.
  5. On the transmitter memorised previously, press and hold the STOP key for 1 second and release for 1 second, repeat three times.
  6. On the new transmitter, press and hold the STOP key and release to coincide exactly with the first movement of the motor. The motor will perform a total of three movements.

The new transmitter has been associated correctly and can operate alongside the first transmitter.

5) How can I associate an additional Era P or Era W transmitter with a general control function to Nice tubular motors?

To associate an additional Era P or Era W transmitter with a general control function to Nice tubular motors for awnings and rolling shutters, proceed as follows, respecting the sequence:

  1. Make sure the motor is powered, the first transmitter associated is present and the limit switches have been programmed correctly.
  2. If the new transmitter is multichannel, select the channel you want to associate with the motor.
  3. If the old or first transmitter is multichannel, select the channel associated with the motor.
  4. On the new transmitter, press and hold the STOP key for at least 8 seconds, then release.
  5. On the old or first transmitter, press and hold the STOP key for 1 second and release for 1 second, repeat three times.
  6. On the new transmitter, press and hold the STOP key and wait for the motor to perform 3 movements, then release.

The new transmitter has been associated correctly with the motor and can operate alongside the old or first transmitter.

Repeat the above procedure for each of the motors in the system until all the motors are associated with the channel with a general control function.

6) How many motors can I associate with a channel of an Era P or Era W transmitter with a general control function?

The maximum number of motors that can be associated with a channel with a general control function depends exclusively on the radio range of the transmitter.
