Nice People Spotlight: Jeff Shaw
22 September 2025
At Nice North America, innovation is powered by passionate people who bring vision, collaboration, and heart to everything they do.
Meet our Chief Product Officer, Jeff Shaw: a product leader with a global mindset and a deep commitment to creating meaningful impact. From championing cross-continental collaboration to building products that connect on both a technical and human level, Jeff brings purpose and intention to every stage of the product journey. As much as he’s driven by innovation, he’s equally inspired by people — coaching, recognizing, and celebrating the teams that make bold ideas possible.
What’s one project you’ve worked on at Nice that you're especially proud of, and why?
One project that stands out to me at Nice is the HR40 Remote Control. This project holds a special place in my heart as it marked a significant milestone in our collaborative efforts. It was the first project where the teams in Italy, China, and the US came together, combining their expertise in hardware, industrial design, and software development. The HR40 Remote Control was a testament to our global teamwork, culminating in the creation of a unique product that offered cutting-edge features within a visually appealing design. The success of this project not only showcased our ability to innovate and collaborate across borders but also highlighted our commitment to delivering exceptional products that resonate with our customers.
How do you stay motivated or inspired during challenging times at work?
During challenging times at work, staying motivated and inspired is crucial. I find that reflecting on the impact our work has on our employees, partners, and customers helps me stay focused and driven. Knowing that our efforts directly contribute to their success and satisfaction motivates me to overcome obstacles and strive for excellence. It's a reminder that what we do is not just for ourselves, but for the benefit and betterment of us as employees and our customers.
What’s something surprising you’ve learned about yourself since joining Nice?
I’ve learned how much I enjoy coaching and developing others. Early in my career, I thought I’d always be most energized by building products — and while I still love that — I’ve found that helping people grow and seeing them succeed has become one of the most rewarding parts of my role.
In what ways has your role changed or grown since you started?
My role has grown quite a bit since I started. I began as a Senior Product Manager focused on ELAN products, which let me really dig into one product line and understand it inside and out. From there, I moved into VP of Product for all Control products, which meant looking across a bigger portfolio and making sure everything worked together as part of a larger strategy. Now, as Chief Product Officer, I get to work on the overall product vision for the company, work closely with teams across the business, and focus on making sure what we’re building really drives impact for our customers.
How do you like to celebrate wins—big or small—at work?
For me, celebrating wins is all about recognition. I make a point to call out the people who made it happen — whether that’s in a team meeting, a quick message, or just a personal thank-you. Making sure everyone feels seen and appreciated is the best way to celebrate.
What’s a piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting at Nice?
My advice would be to stay curious and open-minded. Take the time to really learn the products, meet people across different teams, and understand how everything connects — it will give you a much bigger picture of the company. And don’t be afraid to ask questions or share ideas early on. This is a place where collaboration and fresh perspectives can make a big difference.
What’s your go-to comfort food or favorite meal to cook?
My go-to comfort meal is definitely burgers — every Saturday I make burgers for my family. It’s become a tradition we all look forward to on Saturday night, and no matter how busy the week gets, we always make time for it.
Outside of work, what's something you're passionate about that most people wouldn't guess?
Outside of work, I’m passionate about spending time with my family. Whether it’s taking my twin teenage sons out on the water to fish and crab, watching my daughter take a riding lesson, or just having a relaxed day together with my wife, those moments are what I value most. It’s not about doing anything big or flashy — it’s about enjoying the time we have together.
