Meet Jeremy Brummels, Vice President of Sales at Nice: a dynamic leader who balances driving results with cultivating a motivated, inspired sales culture. With a mindset rooted in encouragement and perseverance, Jeremy leads his team to push forward relentlessly, celebrating every win no matter how late in the game. His passion extends beyond sales numbers to building lasting relationships and fostering growth—not only within his team but across the entire company. When he’s not steering the sales strategy or championing new industry trends, Jeremy finds joy in hands-on projects with old cars and nurturing a farmstead with his wife, embodying a balance of hard work, creativity, and service to others.

As VP of Sales, how do you balance hitting numbers with building a healthy, motivated sales culture?

I feel like motivation is about inspiration. Half of sales is mindset, so encouragement will get you much further than anything.

What’s one trend in sales right now that excites you most?

So many things here at Nice! We have great New Product Introductions (NPIs), supportive leadership, and we just won an award from the American Fence Association for being the Manufacturer of the Year for 2025!

What’s one thing your team does that makes you proud to lead them?

The thing that I’m most proud of is that we don’t quit - the entire team keeps pushing to deliver. It’s the best feeling to see them excited to show up with a win, late in the game. One of the most impactful aspects of the culture at Nice that helps me do my best work is the people. There is a long legacy here, and many of us have been part of the organization through multiple mergers and major changes in the industry. Working alongside such an experienced group of veterans brings deep institutional knowledge, perspective, and a shared commitment that makes the work both more effective and more meaningful.

What’s a piece of career advice you wish you’d gotten earlier?

Great question! I’d have to say that it would be some version of “fail forward.” I’m probably my own worst critic, so it took a while to learn that it’s okay not to be perfect as long as you continue to push forward and learn from it.

What’s your favorite way to recharge outside of work?

To me, relaxing is finding other ways to keep moving. I love old cars, so I have a couple of projects. My wife and I also have a bit of a farmstead going on, which also brings me joy to work on.

Who’s had the biggest influence in your leadership style?

Tough to narrow it to just one. I’d say John Maxwell has some great books on leadership, as well as Jocko Willink. I’ve also worked for several great leaders within the company who have helped me see what I’m capable of.

If you weren’t in sales, what do you think you’d be doing?

When I eventually retire, I want to work on old cars and take care of my farm. I’d like to find a way to use those two things to help others as well. To me there’s satisfaction both in creating things and serving others.

What made you excited to join Nice, and what’s kept you here?

I wanted to work somewhere that I saw the most potential, and I still see that here! I feel good knowing that we’re keeping people safe and giving them a way to live their lives without worry. To me, success is measured by how much you feel like you were able to contribute to the health and well-being of others, and I think that peace of mind is truly our greatest product at Nice.
