Meet Larry Cramp, Product Line Manager at Nice: a true problem solver driven by a passion for finding solutions that meet the needs of both dealers and end users. His journey reflects deep hands-on experience and a strong commitment to growth. He builds trust through confidence, clear communication, and a willingness to put in the time to fully understand challenges—always striving to deliver solutions done right, not halfway. Grounded by a culture rich with legacy and seasoned expertise, he values the people at Nice as much as the products they create. When he’s not collaborating with stakeholders or refining product strategy, you’ll likely find him unwinding with comedy podcasts, enjoying O.A.R., or embracing his lighthearted side with jokes, trivia-worthy skills, and a sense of fun that keeps teamwork enjoyable.

How would you describe your role as a Product Line Manager to someone outside the company?

I am a problem solver.  As a product manager, I look for solutions that will satisfy our dealers, and the end user’s needs.

What’s been key to building trust with stakeholders across the organization?

Building trust with stakeholders across the organization has depended on several key factors. First, having confidence in the solution being presented is essential, and that confidence comes from deeply understanding the issue by spending time talking with coworkers and dealers as much as possible. Equally important is the ability to communicate in a meaningful way to the intended audience; even the best solution will fail if people do not understand what is being done or why it matters. Finally, trust is built by putting in the time and fully committing to the work—driving results by doing things 100 percent, not 90.

What’s something about the culture at Nice that helps you do your best work?

One of the most impactful aspects of the culture at Nice that helps me do my best work is the people. There is a long legacy here, and many of us have been part of the organization through multiple mergers and major changes in the industry. Working alongside such an experienced group of veterans brings deep institutional knowledge, perspective, and a shared commitment that makes the work both more effective and more meaningful.

What’s your go-to playlist, podcast, or show during a commute or downtime?

My go-to choice during a commute or downtime is the podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. Comedy really is the best medicine, and it’s a great way to unwind and reset. I’m also a fan of O.A.R., which probably wouldn’t surprise anyone who’s attended one of my webinars.

If you could instantly master any skill (work-related or not), what would it be?

If I could instantly master any skill, it would be a mix of practical and just-for-fun abilities. I’d love to be able to recite the alphabet backwards—you never know when that might come in handy—along with having the uncanny talent to actually win a prize from a claw machine. On a more practical level, being able to immediately find exactly what I’m looking for at the grocery store would be a game changer, and for fun, I’d finally learn all the words to “Informer” by Snow.

What’s one thing your teammates do that makes your job easier or more enjoyable?

They (sometimes) laugh at my jokes.

How has your role at Nice evolved since you started?

My role at Nice has evolved significantly since I started. I began as an ELAN dealer, helping local dealers whenever they needed support. One day, I received a call from Bret Jacob asking if I wanted to help dealers on behalf of ELAN, which led me to join as an RA. Over time, I moved into a training role and, with the help of Jeff Kolinski and the RTS team, updated training materials and racks and helped establish the Texas and Carlsbad facilities. From there, I transitioned into drivers and integration, where I worked with Tom McKeon to launch an API program and collaborate with partner manufacturers, eventually leading me to my current role as a product manager.
