Z-Wave 3.0: a new generation engine for the Yubii Home gateway

Available with the just launched 5.210 stable release of the Yubii Home gateway, the migration to the new Z-Wave 3.0 engine marks a significant step forward for the platform. Hubs manufactured from version 5.200 onwards already ship with Z-Wave 3.0 enabled by default.

The new engine introduces a series of enhancements designed to elevate the smart home experience:

• Z-Wave Smart Start with QR code scanning, for immediate and intuitive device pairing (fully supported with Yubii Home App 2.5.3 and above)
• Security S2 encryption, providing a robust and secure connection between Z-Wave devices

By simply scanning the QR code of a compatible device, the gateway recognizes and adds it to the system automatically, making the installation process faster, smoother and more reliable.
