Nice UK supports the DHF’s Gate Safety Week 2016

Nice UK is proud to support the Door & Hardware Federation’s annual Gate Safety Week campaign, a national drive to raise awareness that “Safe Gates Save Lives”.

Running from 10^th – 16^th October, Gate Safety Week aims to reduce the rate of accidents caused by poorly installed or maintained gates. Its focus is on educating people about best practice so that they are aware of the dangers of inadequate safety measures for powered gates. Unfortunately, there have been several fatalities and serious injuries from accidents involving automated gates in recent years, making the DHF’s work more vital than ever.

Nice UK’s number one priority is the safety of its products, making it the ideal partner for Gate Safety Week. The company has recently opened its showroom and training centre, an excellent resource for providing product safety training for customers. Staff are trained to DHF standards and can pass on this expertise during their sessions, ensuring future installations are safe and properly maintained. The training centre is a significant investment for Nice UK that emphasises the level of importance given to the issue of safety.

The more automated gates in public, commercial and residential buildings, the more the importance of gate safety increases. For this reason Nice UK is delighted to support Gate Safety Week 2016.
