Siemens’ future managers on the executive MBA course discover Nice
8 February 2017
On Thursday 26 January, in collaboration with Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Nice had the pleasure of welcoming participants on the Siemens Executive MBA, a course for the company’s young managers with career prospects, chosen after a severe in-house selection process.
This year, Ca' Foscari University of Venice was again reconfirmed to organise the project's strategic marketing module, coordinated by the Friedrich Alexander Universität of Nurimberg (FAU), in collaboration with Babson College of Boston and Tongji University of Shanghai.
On Thursday afternoon, the 24 young managers from all over the world visited Nice and the social hub TheNicePlace, an opportunity to discover at first hand a creative Italian company, which has built its own business model on design and to experience for themselves the history and values that make it today an international reference group in the Home and Building Automation sector.
Professor Tiziano Vescovi from the Venice University's Department of Management, responsible for guiding the course participants, commented: "The Executive course allows the university to try out innovative teaching methods and learn more about the companies. The company visits we have included in this project are designed to enable participants to find out more about successful businesses associated with an Italian excellence. This was precisely the reason why we thought of Nice". Commenting on the visit, the Professor added: "The day spent at the TheNicePlace was very interesting, the participants greatly appreciated the opportunity for a direct exchange of views with a dynamic innovative reality such as Nice. I believe this type of experience is important and can be a great help to our students."
