Yubii Home evolves: Z-Wave 3.0 and a more responsive app experience

Nice continues to invest in the evolution of its Smart Living Solutions ecosystem. With the latest updates to the Yubii Home gateway and the Yubii Home App, the platform reaches a new level of performance, security and openness, confirming Nice's commitment to delivering a connected home experience that is increasingly seamless for professionals and end users alike.

Z-Wave 3.0: a new generation engine for the Yubii Home gateway

Available with the just launched 5.210 stable release of the Yubii Home gateway, the migration to the new Z-Wave 3.0 engine marks a significant step forward for the platform. Hubs manufactured from version 5.200 onwards already ship with Z-Wave 3.0 enabled by default.

The new engine introduces a series of enhancements designed to elevate the smart home experience:

• Z-Wave Smart Start with QR code scanning, for immediate and intuitive device pairing (fully supported with Yubii Home App 2.5.3 and above)
• Security S2 encryption, providing a robust and secure connection between Z-Wave devices
• Enhanced compatibility with Z-Wave Plus devices, expanding interoperability with third-party products
• Faster and more reliable wireless communication across the entire network

Together, these improvements strengthen the foundation of every Yubii Home installation, opening up a broader ecosystem of compatible devices and ensuring a higher standard of protection for connected homes.

Z-Wave Smart Start: Simplified device pairing with QR code scanning

Among the new capabilities introduced by Z-Wave 3.0, pairing a new device with Smart Start QR code scanning is one of the most impactful. By simply scanning the QR code of a compatible device, the gateway recognizes and adds it to the system automatically, making the installation process faster, smoother and more reliable.

Yubii Home App: a more fluid, responsive experience

The new version 2.5.3 of the Yubii Home App brings a series of refinements that enhance the day-to-day experience of managing a connected home. Navigation feels more fluid, animations are smoother, and overall responsiveness has been elevated across every section of the application, from scenario creation to device binding.

The result is an interface designed to keep up with the rhythm of the modern smart home, where every interaction is expected to be immediate and effortless.

Plug-Control2: a new generation of Nice's smart plug

Alongside these updates, Nice introduces the new generation of Plug-Control2, an evolution of its smart plug that brings three meaningful improvements:

• Higher maximum load, from 11A / 2500W up to 12A / 2750W, broadening the variety of devices that can be connected.
• New Z-Wave 800 chip for improved range, stability, speed and security, with native support for Smart Start QR code pairing.
• Microinverter support, enabling the Plug to read energy production from any connected microinverter up to 12A and opening new scenarios for distributed PV monitoring.

Available in E-type and F-type versions, Plug-Control2 remains the smallest smart plug on the market, measuring energy consumption, allowing remote control of connected devices, and displaying instantaneous power draw in real time through its integrated LED ring.
