The smart home is a structure in which all home automation systems are connected and controlled by a single device.

Nice’s Yubii Home has been designed to adapt perfectly to the specific needs of each customer. In fact, Nice smart home offers the possibility to create scenarios, based on everyday habits and preferences of each individual. Moreover, the Yubii app (available for Android and iOS) allows you to manage the different automation systems even when you are not at home, so you can, for example, check if the lights are still on, or adjust the temperature of the house to find a comfortable environment when you come back, avoiding keeping the air conditioner or heating on when you are out.

So, does the smart home help reduce energy consumption and limit the cost of bills? Of course, one of Nice’s main goals is to take care of the environment in which we live. Nice systems are designed to be increasingly sustainable. For example, sensor-based lighting can save up to 60% energy (Von Neida, Manicria, and Tweed 2001), whereas a combined motion and daylight sensor can save up to 73% (Nagy, Yong, and Schlueter 2016). Nice's motion sensor, on the other hand, combines both functions, so as to offer a sustainable solution both for the environment, but also for our wallet!

This is an example of how Nice products are designed to simplify people's lives, with an eye to sustainability and the future, because even simple daily gestures at home can make a big difference for our planet.
